 MAIN DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE LANDS

OF THE AQABA SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE *

The 26 February 2006 Draft Final Report of the Management Development Agreement between the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) addressed the disposition of all* public land assets within the boundaries of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ). The final version in Arabic was approved by Jordan’s Council of Minister in March 2006.

The document was produced in conformance with and resulting from various statutes and directives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan regarding formal relationships between ASEZ land assets principals,  ASEZA (the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority) and ADC (the Aqaba Development Corporation).

Principal authors of this document were:

  • Dr. J. Michael Cobb , Sr. Advisor, ADC
  • Esq. Mohannad Jara, Sr. Legal Advisor to ADC.

Other legal, financial and development specialists also provided input to the work, especially Esq. Khaldoun Nazer, Sr. Legal Advisor to ASEZA and Jim O'Gara, Sr. Vice President of TSG. The senior executive governmental representatives involved in providing direct policy input, review and approval of this Final Draft for submission to the Council of Ministers included:

  • Eng. Imad Fakhoury , CEO and Chairman, ADC Board of Directors
